Rainy Lake

Beautiful Rainy Lake in North Western Ontario.

The northern shield rock islands on Rainy Lake is such a great subject to try and capture. My favourite part of being on the lakes out there is how warm they are, I wanted to get summers warmth in this piece. The early morning warm water hitting the cold air and getting the mist sweeping across the surface of the water. 

This was a mash up of memories from the lake and photos of my family cabin. It is no place in particular. A commission for my cousin.
