Saturated Alpine color.

Ever wondered how trees can grow out of nothing like this? Gorgeous Golds exploding out of lichen covered talus rock. Set against the forever blue. The glowing sky. My whole life I've looked at the places a tree will root and been flabbergasted. This time I painted it. 

I wanted to keep this piece not too filled in and let our imaginations fill in the details in the background. The dark strip of deep indigo anchoring this work. Another joyful explosion of pallet knife work here. 

Painted last Fall on my Carlyle Painting retreat. This is a very special piece a joyful reminder of fall in the mountains.
