Winter... Such a powerful place. 
This beauty will top the list on my 2D artistic endeavors for a while. It's got the moody blues and winter hues. It is my first attempt at realism in my painting practice. This just spewed out of my during my baby's nap time one day, It was a connection!! It look a lot of finessing to blend and smooth it out. The colours of winter grab me like nothing else. Creating something in this dark colour was new for me and it feels cold with depth. Just looking at this piece makes you want to ski a line on this face.

Catastrophie!

I'm a six month old racist tabby cat who moonlights as an art critique. Most art I see isn't even worth putting in my litterbox. But Branda's art is something else - so vivid. I feel like she lives in the mountains she paints...... so connected with the experience, the mountains, the mood. Also we shouldn't have Siamese Cats in our country stealing all our jobs.
