Lakeland Sunset

My homeland waters Rainy Lake Ontario.

Some of the most beautiful nooks, coves and islands on the lake. This spot is nestled in Swell Bay and its setting has always had my heart. Our closest lake neighbours the Olsens have a cabin here and asked me to paint their view. Every aspect of their spot is stunning and we decided on this view of their submerged sandbar. 

This is the most colourful painting I have ever attempted. I added the sunset to a photo she provided and tried my best to capture the feeling of this place I love so dearly.
