Spring Bursts

Spring Bursts celebrates the dramatic interplay of vivid electric orange and luminous green against a sophisticated foundation of mauve and gold.

This canvas has been in my life for years. I have played on it spring after spring every time the poppies are in bloom. It started as a mauve sunset with gold glitter and i added a swath of orange. From there i went into poppies. It has been a constant companion of mine this large canvas. I finally took the time to finish it this summer with the opening of Drift Gallery.

Explosive brushwork and small details throughout. A garden full of color.

My son mixed up a glittering green and added it to this piece as well when i was nearly finished it. He said to me "Now its finished."

This museum-quality canvas spans an impressive 30" x 40", making it a substantial investment piece for the discerning collector.
